Excellent point. With all the talk specifying "Archdiocese of [town/county]" or the "U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops", it's easy to forget that the Catholic Church is a WORLD-WIDE organization.

The Church absolutely has the means and network to help economically-challenged people where they currently live. There's zero financial wisdom in spending 10-100 times as much to bring them here and get them set up here ... except that the U.S. Catholic Church is in bed with the "open-border" Marxists in the U.S. government and one of the conditions in getting those 30 silver pieces is that the Church DOESN'T help people where they live.
