Musacchio says, while deeply disappointed in President Trump's funding freeze, the church does favor strengthening enforcement at American borders. "You know the Catholic Church in the U.S. has, for many years, called for comprehensive immigration reform that starts with the recognition of a strong border," said Musacchio.
That being said, they also believe the government should make the process easier for those fleeing violence or who are already meaningful members of American communities. "Would encourage the United States to have a humane, just immigration policy, that handles orderly legal migration in a humane way," he said
Do you know what really sets me off? After sixty years of Liberation Theology, the Catholic Church not only has scored zero in achieving any kind of social uplifting in Latin America but actually managed to make things even worse to the point we have masses of economic refugees (not political as they would like you to believe) invading the country and now the Church is directly part of the chain of human trafficking.
Dear Catholic programs: butch up, go to those countries and fight for the people at home. Do not suck US Taxpayers’ money to cover and patch the pseudo-theological and political bullcrap you allowed Marxist to infect the Church with in the name of the Revolutions you sided with.
Excellent point. With all the talk specifying "Archdiocese of [town/county]" or the "U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops", it's easy to forget that the Catholic Church is a WORLD-WIDE organization.
The Church absolutely has the means and network to help economically-challenged people where they currently live. There's zero financial wisdom in spending 10-100 times as much to bring them here and get them set up here ... except that the U.S. Catholic Church is in bed with the "open-border" Marxists in the U.S. government and one of the conditions in getting those 30 silver pieces is that the Church DOESN'T help people where they live.
