Yeah, that post says it's a paid article at the top. When I click the button it sends my browser to a page of subscription plans. They all say 7 day free trial, which I assume means you can cancel before you pay (As opposed to just an extra week on a sub). Free is an option, but that won't show you paid articles. Not aware of what the app does. One article free is probably a substack incentive for the app, but it's nothing Miguel has set on the post.
If you subscribe (He's got it set to $8 a month) you should be able to read everything with a regular computer and web browser just fine.
The Progressives in the USA are experiencing an orgasm over this....
I really wish that I could read your 'free' Venezuela article, but substack wants to FORCE an app on my phone to do it.
Not happening.
I really enjoy reading your articles, but I DON'T need another effing snoopy app on my phone..
Will upgrading to paid allow me to read all of your stuff WITHOUT an app?
Thanks.
I'm reading this fine on my desktop with Firefox.
I don't see why an ordinary phone browser couldn't do the same.
On this article:

Has a Claim my Free Post at the bottom.
Click that, pops up a QR code to d/l the substack app..

Eh, no.
