I read something a long time ago that proves the anne frank thing was completely false.. you can take any “tragedy” and twist it to prove your version of reality. “if we took away guns, there would be no more shootings”… ect… and I don’t think Trump was president during WWII… the stupid is deep.
Not to take away from the point our host was making (and it's a good point), but I too have read that the whole Anne Frank thing we were forced to read as kids was by and large embellished sympathetic propaganda written to make a nice profit off of a young girl's tragic death.
And BTW, almost all wars in the last 300+ years have involved large camps that were grossly unhygienic disease pits. The Civil War POW camps were horrendous. It's the nature of the beast, especially in times prior to modern medicine and proper understanding of diseases. The alternative prior to camps was complete genocide of the losing side, ala the Old Testament stuff.
There are no "refugees" entering America. None. They achieved refuge when they reached Canada or Mexico. They reached refuge the moment they stepped foot outside their home nation's borders, wherever that might have been.
Exactly right, and it is long past due for US law to recognize that.
It should say that any person who passes through a third country to get here is by definition ineligible for asylum, and upon entering the US shall be immediately deported to the nation from which he entered.
Note "from which he entered" not "home country". My reasoning is that Mexico, in permitting such a person to transit that country, has in effect opted to allow the person into Mexico, and as such can and should be forced to continue doing so. If Mexico (or Canada, of course) doesn't want to take back illegal aliens, the solution is to stop letting them in to begin with.
To be a political refugee seeking asylum in America, America must be the FIRST safe haven nation they encounter ... and that's approximately 0% of the people flooding our borders on foot.
The key concept about asylum for political refugees is "choice", or lack thereof. When you flee your home because the other option is to be persecuted unto death, that's not really a choice, and political asylum laws recognize that. But that only applies to the first safe haven nation they come to.
The people fleeing Venezuela, or Colombia, or Nicaragua, etc., on foot through Mexico, found a safe haven when they crossed into Mexico. They were "political refugees seeking asylum" in Mexico. But they chose -- CHOSE -- to not stay in the safe haven of Mexico.
Any further move after reaching a safe haven nation is purely elective, that pesky "choice" thing again. At that point, they are no longer political refugees. They are now immigrants and subject to normal immigration law, same as anyone else who comes here just because they want to. "Asylum" is not an option for these; they already had asylum and safety wherever they landed first, and they chose to leave it.
You'd think the "pro-choice" Left would understand the concept of choice (or lack thereof), but as with most things, if it weren't for double-standards, they'd have no standards at all.

Millions of Germans died of Typhus 1944-1947. It wasn't just the soldiers or the people in the labor camps. It was a real epidemic.

Bingo!

Interestingly, the Nazis changed the definition of Jews in order to commit genocide.
President Trump has not changed the definition of anything.
An illegal alien was in the country illegally before Trump was elected.
Wow. They aren’t being “reclassified” they were always illegals, always unwanted, and only here for the grift.
