TDS keeps getting people into absurdity.

Last week we had a Venezuelan media outlet equating Trump with Chavez. Now we have local flavor with another absurd comparison.

I am going to make an assumption and say that his historical background of Peronism is based equal parts having watched “Evita” and a thorough scrolling in Wikipedia. Peronism was, simply stated, a Strong Man applying Socialism as his campaign strategy to be democratically elected (injecting a lot of class envy rhetoric) and then govern under that principle and doling entitlements left and right till the country could not pay for them anymore. Freedom of the Press claimed, but any dissenting newspaper or radio station was shut down or “convinced” to see the errors of their ways and change the tune…or else. Regular citizens had less leeway, and they were usually given hickory shampoo treatments or plain doses of “leadcillin.”

What I have noticed is that the lack of respect that Trump has for the Media and the way he insults and ridicules him is seen by journos as the same or worse than being shot in the back of the head by security forces or your house torched with your family inside. This fake fear is reflected in worse coverage and outright lies which are to inflame people against the administration. That they do that without Third World consequences sort of demonstrates they are full of crap.

Both Chavez and Peron wasted monies unchecked which is running contrary to the work of DOGE. Both Chavez and Peron ran on heavy cults of personality (Hugo doing it himself and Peron via Santa Evita) and Trump is indeed graced with a huge ego, but he is not ordering statues of himself to be placed in every city and town. Besides, his ego comes from his successes and failures in life and not an imagined sense of Messianism.

I do believe that sometime in the next week or two, we will have some TDS sufferer calling Trump Orange Pol Pot

And I almost forgot: Those who lived through the deeds of Peron and Chavez will disagree with such stupid comparison and if anybody in American Politics ever behaved like the two above-mentioned assholes, it was both 44 and 46.
