Stupid all around
House cleaning crew arrives at the wrong house and one of them gets shot and killed. The homeowner violated Rule 4 (be sure of your target and what is around and behind it) and thus is now facing an almost sure prison time. Stupid #1.
I believe this could have been avoided by one of two things: Verbally (and loudly) ask who was at the door and if you were not expecting anybody, demand that they go away. Or once again, invest in a Wi-Fi camera system that could have let you see and talk with the individuals outside. Even a simple and cheap doorbell camera would have saved money and the future of having your rectum widened by a fellow convict in the future. Stupid #2
And Stupid #3 comes courtesy of Boone County Prosecutor Kent Eastwood:
“It is vitally important for the citizens of Boone County to understand that our decision today in no way should be interpreted as a challenge to Indiana ‘stand your ground’ law, or a person’s right to self-defense,” said Eastwood. “Based upon the particular evidence and circumstances of this case, we have determined that Curt Andersen’s actions do not fall within the legal protections provided by the Indiana ‘stand your ground’ law.”
We are in 2025, how come a prosecutor still has issues with Stand Your Ground and Castle Doctrine and that the former is an extension of the latter? Pay attention boys and girls because we are talking about the people who will determine your faith by taking a lot of time analyzing what you did and they were not present when it happened. That kind of unprepared Legal Monday Morning Quarterbacking can come with very serious consequences and is why you should have some sort of Defensive Legal preparations made already.

Half a dozen morons came on w/ their balls bigger than their brains on how they would 'shoot until the threat is dead" and how I was a liberal moron.
Boy are they going to be surprised.
