So I have to ask ... "Used" covers a lot of ground. What condition was it advertised to be in? If it's not in as good a condition as indicated, and there's not a particular reason to keep this copy (e.g. there are no others available), I'd be very tempted to send it back.

But that's me; and I've been increasingly grumpy over the deterioration in quality of goods and services I'm finding as a pretty general phenomenon, and I'm in increasingly less of a mood to put up with it when I encounter it.

Left of Bang is almost unobtainable as a new book.

Um ...

Available on Amazon right now for $16 new dead-tree, or $10 as ephemeral bits (Kindle). Or you can get the audiobook for $26 if you're into those (I'm not, personally).

So I found AbleBook's condition guide:

https://www.abebooks.com/books/rarebooks/collecting-guide/understanding-rare-books/guide-book-conditions.shtml

I didn't see any specific condition indicating "someone wrote in it" or "pages marked" (except re library copies, and these aren't those marks). But the general "good" condition does indicate the seller is supposed to disclose defects, which this book has in terms of being marked up.

Your call, but I would at least leave some seller feedback if that is an option, and let AbleBooks know. Especially as you can get it new for a few dollars more. Again, that's me and I'm in a foul mood anyway at the moment, so, grain of salt etc.
