As a teen and into my late 20s I had a terrible acne problem. Shaving was like a human sacrifice; a styptic pencil, a LARGE one, was a daily use item. In my late 60s the skin condition returned and continues today. If only there were an additive to allow the styptic pencil to do its work without stinging!
BTW, I keep a 6-inch squeegee on my countertop for the mirror.
I use Adapalene gel 0.1% to control my skin condition, that can result in my dermatologist having to freeze the spots off. Been using it about 2 years. She says it's working.
Also loads of sunscreen. I use Purito (made in Korea). It doesn't burn the eyes -when- it gets in them and works very well. I spend lots of time on the boat. (skin cancer is a bitch!)
Thanks for the info. Will discuss with my derm at the upcoming appointment. In my teens I went through everything available including dry ice scraping treatments. Those were bad enough, but I had to take 2 busses to get home and in those days they were not air conditioned -- New Orleans in the summer (when school was out). Torture!
Skin cancer? Mohs surgery is fairly regular for me and the freeze gun is even more frequent. I thought at my age cardio would be top of the list, but not so. I see derm and kidney every 3 months and cardio only ever six!
Retired track and field master official, I've been through lots of sunscreen. Had good results with Neutrogena Ultrasheer Dry-Touch. Key for me is no oil/grease -- I generate enough as it is. :-)
Being a styptic pen manufacturer must not be very lucrative. My original one has lasted for 30 years. I don't need it often but when you need it, you need it.
Speaking from experience, that's a rough spot to get right, mirror or no. A new sharp razor helps.

That's it for today's commercial ;~)

Yeah, I like the Neutrogena, but it burned my eyes when it sweated into them. The Purito isn't greasy and dries into the skin in about 5 minutes.
