Cannot find it now, but another observer of the human scene noted that, if Toddler A can not only access your carbine, but also access it long enough to dine on the red dot battery, that battery is only the BEGINNING of your problems.

LOL. Any gun owner who is swallowing batteries... I think they'd need more than a warning label.

its “git them!!” spiteful nasty. Sheakspeare was right way back-“first we kill the lawyers”… how much is this costing Sig? if lawyers win this they can go after any device that has button batteries. I bought a 377 battery for my pocket watch, getting it free of the package required a razor knife and two or three carpenter words..I want America back where life requires a brain and the dumb ones died quickly…

It has nothing to do with "warning labels".

To be compliant with Reese's Law, a coin cell battery compartment needs to either require a tool to access or need two hands to open.

If you want the battery on your lifesaving tool secured by a lid that can be removed by a toddler, well...I don't think that's a very good idea, but you do you, Boo.

It may be a case of "European owner disease", similar to S&W back some years complying with anti-gun edicts from the feds.

Tell me you don’t know shit about the industry without telling me you don’t know shit about the industry.

Perhaps you might care to explain for those of us who, truly and honestly, don't know what you're trying to get across? Most gun owners probably don't in fact know much about the gun business except from the customer side of the gun store counter. Just as I would not expect you to know how an x-ray free electron laser works just because you could turn on an old CRT monitor.

Perhaps you're trying to tell me "European owner" is wrong? But SIG clearly is a company with European roots, though it also has a meaningful US presence.

In any case, there are ways to disagree with statements I make without being obnoxious about it and violating Miguel's One Rule.

All of this stress over a problem that could be mostly resolved with one drop of blue Loctite on screw threads. Many toddlers cannot read, so warning labels are wasted on them.
