Considering that Hollywood catering to Chinese (read: the CCP's) sensibilities had the side effect of turning Hollywood into China's (read: the CCP's) biggest propaganda machine, at no cost to China, banning import of Hollywood-produced feature films -- and thus removing any reason to cater to those sensibilities -- is going to hurt China and its outsized "influence" more than anyone or anything else.
I say, let them do it. It's been a while since I've read "The Art of War", but I'm sure Sun Tzu said something similar to Napoleon's "Never interrupt the enemy when he's making a mistake." If they don't want to listen to their own countryman's advice....
I've become addicted to k-dramas on Netflix myself. Turns out, the Korea is really good at turning out quality movies and series with ORIGINAL script ideas, not the recycled formulaic (and increasingly "Woke") garbage Hollywood has been releasing for the past few decades. And the sheer variety ... there's something for every taste. Mysteries, monsters, action, romances, family dramas, rom-coms, etc., it's all there.
I'm currently watching Sweet Home. Mutant/monster near-future end-of-humanity kind of thing. First season was good, but it's kinda gone in a weird direction. But I'm almost through it so I'll finish it out and move on.
For lighter fare, Extraordinary Attorney Woo is an adorable single-season rom-com-type series about a young autistic lawyer. The lead actress plays the part so well -- from the "stemming" to the hyper-focus to the need for solid routine and total lack of social awareness -- I'd almost swear she's on the spectrum in real life.
A couple of those are already on my "to-watch" list. Thanks for the recommends!
"All of Us Are Dead" is a decent zombie series that needs a second season (preferably without On-Jo as the "main female"; she seemed kinda useless to me). "The Kingdom" is another, far more interesting (IMO) take on the zombie genre, especially since it's historical fiction and has political underpinnings, set a few hundred years ago.
"The Glory" is an interesting personal revenge drama, pretty well done. "My Name" and "Bloodhounds" are similar but with more action.
I've also been recommended "When Life Gives You Tangerines" (I'm pretty sure that's the title), but haven't taken the plunge yet.
Hollywood was not alone in collaborating with Hitler. Winches was producing 8mm Mauser ammo all the way until Germany rolled into Poland. I still have a cartridge in my collection.
"Disney, by far the one corporation that stands to lose the most here, is ABSOLUTELY GOATROPED."
Considering much of Disney is on the down-slope because of their full embrace of all things Woke, and fans who object are browbeaten into silence with accusations of racism, Wrongthink, and Wrongfun, yeah, they're hosed. (Look at the studio execs' response to fans panning Star Wars' "The Acolyte". TL;DR version: The show is perfect, it must be the fans who are wrong because they're sexist bigots who don't recognize genius when they see it.)
Disney still puts out the occasional good movie in spite of itself. You can tell the ones that probably won't be terrible because they aren't marketed hard. Find a new movie you've never seen advertised, and there's a better-than-even chance it won't totally suck.
Nose. Face. Some biting required. China may rattle their sabers, but they would lose their 'influence' if they cut Hollyweird off. We shall see.

Practicing my speed reading as we watch the Korean flix on Netflix. Hollywood is still trying to put out movies? Who knew?

If you can keep up with the subtitles. LOL!
