Prognostication went wrong.
It was not. It was a beatdown where Trump got both Electoral and Popular votes.
And that means the dreaded word comes into play: “Mandate.”
And yes, gloat and make fun of the NeverTrumpers of both parties, assorted Lefties, Snob Libertarians and other assholes. It is your right.
Still, we are not safe till he swears in and I still believe they will try more stuff to stop him from going back in the White House.

As I type this, the Repubs won both the presidency and have a majority in the Senate; the House is still open and looking close albeit with a small R majority.
Usually I am something of a fan of gridlock, aka the "Don't just do something, stand there!" version of "first, do no harm." In this case, however, there are some things that really need to get done, so I will hope for a three-fer.
