Death indeed! I got nothing. If you find something other than a concrete pad that works, let me know!

We had moles for a while.

7mm Mauser shot into the ground at the base of a mole hill being actively pushed up did the trick. Never had a direct bullet impact, but the shock wave would either kill them outright, or stun them long enough so they could be quickly dug up.

You had to walk softly, and sometimes wait a few minutes until they started shoving up dirt again after being spooked by the footsteps. Once that pile started being pushed up again, WHAM!

I'd be somewhat torqued. Unless the burrowing creatures expose themselves (A nice, high powered air guns works very well. Sharpens hunting and marksmanship skills as well. Fairly quiet and limited terminal energy to cause serious damage from an errant shot.), my fave is poison. Tasty, deadly poison. Shove it in the burrowing for a snack for the little creatures.

Mmm. Parsley looks okay; needs some mint though.

I don't have use for mint. Plus you give it half a chance and it spreads like a weed which is not bad in the middle of the lawn. It gives off a nice scent when mowing,

What, you don't put mint in iced tea?!

And yes it does spread aggressively ... and smells nice when mowed. :-) When I was having ant problems when living in Illinois, I planted some in the flower bed outside my kitchen. Voila, no more ants. Seems they can't find their trails through the scent.

I hate iced tea.... OK all tea versions.

I did not know about the ant thing. I may have to start planting them around the house perimeter.

Re tea, to each his own. I needed to learn to like herbal tea as I've gotten older - caffeine side effects.

Re the ant shield use, make sure to use good quality deep edging. The stuff is like Germany in '39.

Mojitos are a great reason to grow your own mint.

Catnip can help with the mole problem. Eventually.
