This may explain why some YouTube folks have begun making and presenting 'art' created by pouring molten metal into the opened top of such structures.

1) it gets likes

2) the nest is seriously compromised, maybe to the point of extinction

3) it's a lot of work but scores some serious vengeance points too

4) it sells for serious prices

I like using toxic chemicals on anthills! If the ones NYS let's stores sell don't kill the ants, I got some GOOD ones!

From back in the days of my youth when I worked in the environmental remediation industry. Ones on the EPA's very bad stuff list....

are these fire ant nests? if so, find another nest and take a shovel full of both and swap them. they will fight to the last ant… no more ants..

Wouldn't work in my yard. Best I can tell, the 100 or so mounds are all one big colony tunneled back and forth underneath my asphalt driveway.
