NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Fear over potential immigration enforcement on Lower Broadway in Nashville caused at least two restaurants to shut down operations this weekend, as rumors swirled about ICE activity in the heart of Music City.
…
“It’s just creating this general sense of fear all the time,” said the same manager. “There were rumors flying around about ICE being on Lower Broadway. It was credible enough that we had to close the restaurant because back-of-house staff had to leave. Everyone split.”Managers say rumors of ICE presence in the area spread rapidly among staff, many of whom feared being detained despite having valid paperwork.
Staff at several establishments reportedly fled upon hearing ICE could be nearby, forcing managers to close kitchens or halt service entirely.
“Everyone split”: Fear of ICE presence on Broadway leads to restaurant closures
Bullshit.
If you have your work permit in order, or Green Card or driver’s license with the star on it, you don’t fear ICE.
But if you are an illegal with fake or no paperwork, you take off expeditiously. And if restaurant owners knowing or stupidly hires illegals, then they get to reap a closure when the rumors hit and the staff takes off for the hills…. or Antioch.
FOX 17 News has agreed not to name the restaurants or managers interviewed.
And how come they don’t want to name the restaurants? Oh yes, it is also against the law to hire illegals.
If the business owners who hire illegals, were prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, there would be few jobs for the illegals and the illegals would tend to leave. Perhaps there is something wrong with my logic, but I haven't found it yet.
Expect more of these "tug at your heart" stories as the media wants to turn us against the Trump Administration.
I'm sure the restaurant owners donated some of the profits made by using "illegals" for labor to the Progressive Democrats.
