And getting training and practice outside a "square range."

Or I suppose one could always call a time-out and ask the bad guy if they would be so kind as to apply one of these to their torso...

You can reliably tell the race of shooters (because the news weasels won't tell you unless they're White) by comparing the number of shots fired to the number of victims injured and the severity of their injuries.

"20 shots fired, 1 minor injury" = Black

"10 shots fired, 2 injured, 1 dead" = Latino (except when they're executing groups of victims)

"5 shots fired, 1 injured, 2 dead" = White

"50 shots fired, 2 innocent bystanders severely injured" = Police (multiple incidents in NYC)

"170 shots fired, no injuries reported" = Celebratory gunfire -OR- NYPD/LAPD on a manhunt.

And again, they add to the statistics that show LEOs are generally rotten shots compared to civilian concealed carriers..

Indeed. How many attempted mass shootings have "happy endings" that can be described as "on the defenders' side, 1-3 shots fired, 1-2 dead goblins"?

Compare that to the LAPD manhunt for Chris Dorner in 2013. Something like 180 shots fired at two innocent newspaper delivery ladies in a pickup truck (that didn't match the color, make, or model of Dorner's pickup). Both survived, albeit with injuries. Their lawsuit cost the city $4.2 million, plus one replaced pickup (about $40k).

During the same manhunt, Torrance police struck another pickup truck (also did not match color, make, or model of Dorner's) and opened fire -- the driver was not struck by bullets but sustained injuries due to the crash. He rejected the initial $500k settlement offer and went to trial, and was awarded $1.8 million instead.

As other bloggers point out, you're never in more danger than when police are around, and I'd add, that danger goes up exponentially when they are panicked.

But sure, police are the "Only Ones" trained and professional enough to carry firearms. *headdesk*

My wife asked me if I wanted to go see a musical artist this summer in Nashville. I replied somewhat less harshly than “no f**king way,l but only a little less. Nashville holds no appeal for me, even if I’m not likely to wander into some of the finer neighborhoods. Sounds like a real garden spot.

Going into any of the Democrat cesspools, to the "safer" areas, typically requires that you run the gauntlet of the surrounding 'hoods. All you need is a MRAP with a LRAD on top. Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle. Long Range Acoustic Device.
