How do you deal with 30-million-plus people -- roughly 10% of the population -- who learn and practice the arts of effective camouflage, stalking, dropping a man-sized target with a single shot from hundreds of yards out, and disappearing with their prize before the predators and scavengers show up ... often as a HOBBY?
(Not to mention those for whom it's NOT a hobby, who get REALLY GOOD at it because it's their primary source of protein for the winter.)
And that 30-million-or-so is just the ones who go out year after year plus the ones who happen to be going out this season but don't go every year. I suspect the real number of hunters, including both regular and all incidentals, is significantly higher.
just citizens with a hunting license add up to 30 million plus… the hard part is getting firearms owners to unite….
