Never thought about it. Just did it (for about 5 generations).

Still dislike all of the "comeres" bringing their ideas that they shat the bed with and ruined where they are from. Now they complain about the dust, smells, noise, and cows fucking the fields of the farm that they moved next to (oh, and the gunfire).

The lack of self-awareness and cause-and-effect would be amusing, were it not so concerning and infuriating.

I read about a family building next to a dairy farm, then the mother attending a BoS meeting, complaining about the cows mating. They went to court and lost.

A few years later, I heard a knock at my door. Yep, there's a woman demanding that I prevent the cows from being seen in 'flagrante delicto'. At first I was angry, then I realized the ridiculousness of if & started laughing. I didn't stop until she was out of hearing. Next day, the husband brought a 6 pack and apologized for his "city" wife. He asked to bring his kids to see the cows & animals and learn about reality. We are now good friends & wifey even pitches in to pluck chickens (and shoot guns!).

Here we seem to be under a burn ban all of the time. Although after nearly two inches of rain last night I'll bet I can light up the fire pit this evening!
