“You have not read those books?”
No, for different reasons. In the case of Chrichton, I read all but this one and The Andromeda Strain. I probably got sidetracked by another author when I finished one of the other books and never got back to him. And since I have seen The Andromeda Strain about a dozen times, it was a low priority acquisition.
The Maltese Falcon? I have this thing about not wanting to read books that were made in overly hyped movies. I did not care for the film so it took me till this past week to decide to read it and only because I bumped into it.
And I have no excuse for Michener, especially since Centennial was both a great book and, in my opinion, the best miniseries from that first era.
One thing I am still searching for: A good reading chair.
Why not try J. L. Curtis' "Grey Man" series? He's posted snippets on his blog and here on Substack.

A good reading chair? Perhaps something in a well padded wingback with a good sidelamp and table with room for munchies, a book or two and beverage?
