Buddy Tom Walls informed me of this shitshow police stop in Jacksonville which ended with a motorist wounded by a cop. I was going to do a write up about it, but I am going to be lazy and link you over Divemedic’s post.
I am guessing every department has a procedure, but “Don’t fuck around with an unknown weapon” should be the rule rather than the exception. I had dealings with Miami Dade PD and Florida Troopers and in both the protocol was to say to me “Just don’t touch it.”
