From what I gathered, this happened in Canada.
When you have a dedicated enemy, mantras do not work (I am in danger!), dashcams do not work, phones do not work and most certainly police minutes away do not work. About the only thing they are good for is to gather evidence for the police of your death or grave injury which is something altogether avoidable with the use of ballistic behavioral modifiers AKA gun.
Now, before we pound our collective chests, I have a question: Have you shot from inside a vehicle? Do you know what to expect?
I have shot from inside vehicles back when I did IDPA and even without windshield, windows and wearing ear protection IT WAS BRUTALLY LOUD! In fact for training purposes, it is recommended you double up on ear-pro with plugs and muffs at the same time. I will also advise to practice your draw (usage of blue gun is very much encouraged) from your normal everyday method of carry. You need first have to figure out if a fast and safe draw can be achieved and how can be achieved because there is this big round thing in front of you called steering wheel that loves to play interference with your gun if you are not careful. Try it out, modify what need to be modified (What you think will happen and what you end up doing are different things) and practice, practice and practice.
Another thing you need to think about is that when you hit the windshield, particles of glass will fly everywhere including toward your eyes. I found the almost hard way that the safety glass does not mean it is totally safe when I had an object come in through the windshield and be frontally covered by glass dust and bits except the eyes simply because I wear corrective glasses.
Check this video by Kyle Lamb and do notice the shinny flying particles.
I will admit by ears and butt cringed when I saw him shooting the AR inside the car. His advice on how to shoot through a windshield is, of course, spot on.
You know what you need to do.

If I had to listen to this twit under pressure, I would have to slap the crap out of him just for the lack of balls.
As he was trying to evade, I'll bet he obeyed the speed limit. What a wuss!
Miguel, I don't know if you read the Stiles Section of the Washington Free Beacon (Andrew Stiles) on Substack, but it's a hoot.
