Denver Mayor Mike Johnston has threatened a "Tiananmen Square moment" using tens of thousands of Mile High City residents to prevent President-elect Donald Trump from his plan to deport illegal immigrants.
"More than us having [federal agents] stationed at the county line to keep them out, you would have 50,000 Denverites there," Johnston said to The Denverite on Wednesday.
"It's like the Tiananmen Square moment, right?" said Johnston, referring to the infamous image of a Chinese student and People's Liberation Army tank coming face to face in Tiananmen Square in China during the 1989 uprising.

And this is what he thinks he will look like on MSNBC and CNN.
I guess he forgot or does not know what happened after the photo when the Chinese government went full Genghis Khan on the protesters. But more than likely he expects nothing like that will happen and he is just grandstanding for the sake of clicks and printed lines.
But what will probably happen is Denver will dramatically increase its population and within a year, they will be complaining and requesting Federal (taxpayer) funding to keep providing free goods and services to the poor oppressed undocumented “refugees” that are shitholing the city into a Third World Hell on Ice.
And we will laugh in schadenfreude.
the answer for this would be ship all the illegals to denver AND cut off ALL federal taxpayer money. “here ya go, moron”…
I absolutely support Denver, and CA, and all the other sanctuary cities declaring they are not going to help deport illegals. Fully support it.
In fact, I would make it clear exactly when, and how, a sweep of illegals is going to happen, so the illegal aliens from Salt Lake City, or Cheyenne have more than enough time to get to Denver and hide out. Then, prevent Denver from sending them other places.
