When you base your Military Tactics on WWII Movies.
There is the usual passel of Lefties and Libertarians (but I repeat myself) in social media and a few outlets losing their minds about Trump getting ready (so they say) to invade Venezuela to get rid of Maduro and his Socialist regime. But it is the government of Venezuela who after ignoring the famous warning expressed in the movie Scarface (“You don’t get high on your own supply”) and are running crazy preparing for the upcoming invasion. And that includes the “use” of decoys like it was some sort of cheap British movie from the 1940s.
Here is the video:
First of all, showing that crap in social media defeats the purpose by giving advanced warning. Second, targeting system nowadays are very advanced and the military personnel much better equipped and trained so they can detect BS like that.
The last time I can recall armed forces trying to use decoys was during Desert Storm where Saddam Hussein’s army mixed inflatable tanks and the real stuff in preparation for the incoming U.S. attack. A-10 Warthog pilots demonstrated how silly the attempt at deception was that when discovering mixed units, they killed every single one of the real tanks while leaving the decoys untouched.
In the meantime, memes are starting to pop up.
“What I ordered in Alibaba and what I got.”
I just realized between NYC’s new Mayor and this “invasion” I do not have enough popcorn in the house.

WWII, I guess you're referring to the Germans building the wood mock up airfield. The Allies let them finish then dropped one wood mock up bomb on it.
