When the proper caliber works.
And that left a permanent mark on the critter.
In June, the Pueblo Police Department said officers were responding to an alleged shoplifting incident at the Famous Footwear near I-25 and Dillon Drive.
Officers said the suspect ran from the store and was chased by officers. At least two officers were in a car, and another was running.
In the video, one of the officers said that the suspect, Antonio Herrera, had a gun. Police said they followed the suspect and ordered him several times to drop his weapon.
Officers said the suspect did not comply with their orders, and that was when an officer struck the suspect with his vehicle.
Pueblo Police said rescue efforts were attempted, but Herrera died at the scene.
