Venezuela issues a Travel Warning to the U.S.

Days before President Trump issued a travel ban to several countries including Venezuela, President Maduro via his Foreign minister issued a travel advisory against coming to the U.S.

The Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, reiterated the travel alert issued by the national government last Sunday, June 1.

Through his social networks, the diplomat pointed out that traveling to the United States represents a risk for migrants.

, he assured that the Venezuelan government will continue to "offer our unconditional support to our compatriots in the U.S. and we extend a cordial invitation to them to return to their homeland, where they will be able to enjoy dignified treatment and in an atmosphere of peace." Please, let me be the first one to tell Venezuelans here and abroad it is all true! You don’t need to risk you precious freedoms in Venezuela and the high standard of living there by moving to the United States. If you were thinking about coming, DON’T! If you are in the U.S. already, make plans to escape as soon as possible. I hear Mexico is open to all kinds of migrants and will create caravans to guide people where they want to go.
