By the radio message at the end, I have the feeling this was a wrong call, and I would even dare say a SWATting call.
A secure door like that will do a lot to keep you alive from attacks by anybody, let it be criminals or boys in blue thinking you just macheted the shit out of your family because somebody called 911.
And yes, doorbell cam is an additional level of security, evidence gathering and internet viral video.
@DD: Funny you should mention that. I have cameras on opposite sides of the garage front, frontmost points of my house. They are 10' high so could be taped by 2 people. I am in the process of running PoE cable in the attic for a third camera to be mounted on the peak. It will monitor the same driveway the other two do, but more importantly, it will monitor the two other cameras.

I have to wonder. On a daily basis, across this nation, how many of these mistakes occur? My doors are beefed up and open outward and cameras are everywhere in plain sight and not in plain sight. Ever since the ATF did the 'tape over the camera' trick, I've got cameras watching cameras.......there will be a record.
