These people really tick me off.
Rutherford county has what they call 14 Convenience Center where you can practically drop anything waste. We don’t even bother with a trash pick up service because we take our garbage and other things to be disposed to our closest center where they have one huge compactor for biological refuse and then open top containers for metal, plastic, urethane foam….and one such container for just frigging mattresses!
I believe the litterer will get (if convicted) a $2,500 fine plus 160 of community service in the form of picking up trash from the roadways and other public locations. Well-deserved for being an asshole.
Here where I live, you call the city before trash day, and they pick it up at your house. .
With what the dumps charge for mattresses and refrigerators, I can't say as I blame him over much. I burned my last mattress and cut apart the metal spring system. Scrap steel is free to dump here; mattresses 34 dollars.
