Have never been to the Pentagon, but I suspect it is like most other military facilities, in that you need an issued ID, badge or a temporary vistor's badge to gain entry. It's been that way for as long as I can remember, and was made stricter after 9/11. You're MSNBC, CNN, Reuters or some rep from a MAGA think tank? Find a sponsor who'll sign you in with a visitor's badge.
