But it seems the unconstitutional law in California disagrees with the video. The box itself needs to be locked if you are transporting on a vehicle without and isolated trunk.
In years past, I would have applied Hanlon’s Razor to explain the video, but this being Californistan, I can’t help but think that this was done on purpose to bait civilians.
Anyway, the old principle applies: Three set of people you should never heed gun advice from are Police, Politicians and Journalists.
At the time of this posting, the video is still up in their X page and I could not find a posting acknowledging they are wrong.
remember the old days when cops were called “police” or “peace officers”?? somewhere along the way it became LEO - law ENFORCEMENT officers.. the job is to enforce the law, ie arrest people…
in my state they can and do lie during testimony and its not against the law.
My personal experience has been that police officers frequently do not know or understand specific laws. This is also often true of County and State Bureaucrats. It is more work to study the law or regulation, but when you do you will find that you were given bad information by an authority figure.
