Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson is making AOC look almost like a genius. Black Codes that prohibited African Americans from gun ownership are a valid argument to support gun restrictions nowadays.
When the Democrats speak of “packing” the Supreme Court, they want legal geniuses like her to occupy those new seats.

She was 'badly' trying to overturn Bruen... 'So we 'shouldn't' look at the history... blah blah' while at the same time completely ignoring basic COTUS law.

I've wondered how long it would take for the Dems to utilize this argument to go around the "history" portion of the Bruen decision. Historically, early gun control laws were aimed at preventing blacks, and the minorities from being able to defend themselves against armed mobs or corrupt law enforcement. The irony of a black Justice using this argument is rich. Also by her argument, "separate but equal" laws were constitutional up until Brown v. Board of Education said it wasn't. To quote that famous philosopher, Bugs Bunny, "What a maroon."
