Some Tennesseans suffer from low levels of Vitamin A.
Because they need to dive nocturnally with enough lights emanating from their vehicles to illuminate Nissan Stadium because I assume they suffer from night blindness. Either that or they are certified assholes who just want to see somebody be blinded and crash for giggles and social media likes.
I just read Recce Rifleman’s post Bright Light! (reccerifleman.blogspot.com)
Back way then while living South of the Caribbean, I was into off roading and had my Landcruiser equipped with Jackman lights overhead. Some of my buddies went either Jackman or KC with the occasional Eurofan sporting Hellas which did not usually survive the rigors of bouncing and hitting ruts. Get us together and we would make an impressive show of powerful lights, but we understood the danger of blinding people accidentally and would not even think about as doing it for fun. You simply did not screw around with people vision while off-roading at night which was dangerous enough on its own.
Yet, assholes occupy space and time and back then there were the same type of imbecilic thinking it was fun to blind you as you were riding up and down the Avila mountains north of Caracas. One of my buddies with more money than common sense decided to up the ante considerably. He was learning to be a commercial pilot and just began training in and old DC3 plane. Somehow, he got one of the spare landing lights installed in the push bar (Nowadays called push bumper) of his Blazer and rigged aircraft batteries to run it. It was an ugly contraption but dear God, it worked all too well. You could actually see the light of his machine from the city as he was setting the retinas of offending assholes on fire with this light. He quit after one of the Jeeps he targeted responded with gunfire that missed him and his Blazer altogether, but the point was made.
I am sometimes tempted to do something similar, but apparently, I have morals and a respect for human life that prevents me (so far) from exacting that kind of retribution.
Anyway, be safe out there.
