Quick remembrance: Bravobelt sent me a free sample about four years ago, I think and I did a review at GFZ lauding their belly band. It was and still is comfortable carries securely gun, mags, light, keys and documents.
After the first one simply wore and stretched out due to a combination of almost daily use and lots of sweating, I bought another one which was starting to show the abuse. A year and a half later and after the same usage, I went ahead and bought another one. This time I remembered to take a photo of the old (left) and the new one (right).
We know nothing elastic remains so for extended periods of time, you just have to look at your underwear and socks drawer to confirm. One of the uses I found out I like the best is when I am in my ‘not-doing-s**t-today’ clothes but the Missus sends me out to the grocery store for some forgotten (by me more than likely) item. Rather than having to do a full or partial change of clothes, I quickly wrap the Bravobelt around my waist and under the oversized t-shirt most likely I am wearing and the choice of carry at the moment for the belly band being a SIG P365 with two spares mag, Nitrolon G2, and knife. Fast to put on, stays securely on and nobody is the wiser.
I will repeat the prior warning: This is a rig for “deep” concealment and it does not lend itself to fast draws. Trying to do a competition draw will result in you clamping on the retention strap and you suddenly become Rain Man with a pistol. Practice around that fact.
For measly under $30 and a choice of colors, I would say you can’t go wrong with this niche carry system. Do notice I say niche because I will go standard OWB any other time that those few selected carry instances.
And I will buy another once this one gives up the ghost.
I appendix carry a P365, but sometimes an XD Mod 2 9mm, but all my beltlines seem to be shrinking. Either that or I need to lose weight, but I prefer the other explanation. I used a bellyband a long time ago and it made me sweat like crazy so I gave it away. Central FL, shorts and T-shirt (dress-up is polo shirt). What do you think?
