I'm a Catholic and did not find the pic blasphemous. Bad form and unadvised, yes.
No more blasphemous than the meme where Jesus is holding an AR-15. According to the Gospel of Luke, specifically the depiction of the Passion, Jesus admonished his followers to obtain a sword.
Sorry, Dems. I refuse to discuss the nuances of Scripture with people who neither believe nor follow it, and only trot it out when it's convenient to them. (Although it is highly amusing to watch the Godless try to invoke God's Word to justify their own hypocrisy.)
The Bible, like the Constitution and Bill of Rights, is not a Chinese buffet that lets you pick and choose which bits you like and discard the rest. You take it all -- including the underlying context -- or you don't get any.
And like always, they're trying to pin their own sins on their opponents. Yet another case of Leftist projection.
I guess we can add "Christian theology" to the list of Internet/Twitter/TikTok University (a.k.a. the new "I.T.T. Tech") degrees the Left holds, along with "virology/pathology," "psychiatry," "international relations," "military conflict and doctrine," "Constitutional law," "criminal justice," and the thousand other things in which every single Leftist suddenly became a subject-matter expert overnight.

As an aside, based on the quoted definition and analysis of "blasphemy," it's primarily a spoken-word sin, correct? There are some physical acts that could be deemed blasphemous, but it's usually a violation of the 2nd Commandment against taking the Lord's name in vain
I’m a Christian Protestant and I wasn’t the least bit offended. And I loved the response - a picture of Jesus with his hand out (halo intact) saying, “ok, that’s enough. Give me the phone.” The funniest thing too is that trump has atheists and non-believers highly outraged on behalf of Jesus Christ. You can’t make it up.
I am not surprised that those who don't know the definition of "treason" also do not understand the word "blasphemy."

He had enough problems with audience comprehension. Can you think what the confusion would have been had he said "AR-15" instead of sword?
That made my day. Thanks Miguel!
Hmm. I would see the issue being a violation of the First Commandment. Trump is worshiping himself.
Sgt. Hulka smiles.
I loved that joke so much.
I filed this one with pretty much every other outrage from the left about Trump.
"Trump held a press conference, impeach him!"
"Trump is improving the White House, impeach him!"
"Trump cured cancer, impeach him!"
"Trump married a supermodel, impeach him!"
"Trump had the audacity to wake up this morning, impeach him!"
.
Yawn...
“Trump is breathing! Someone ought to (bad thing) him!”
Yep, a one note song.
