"The man who would be king" is a WONDERFUL movie (starring Michael Caine and Sean Connery), from a story by Rudyard Kipling. It's set in "Kafiristan" which sounds like a fictional country. It's actually the name of a province of Afghanistan, which apparently got that name because it was the last part of the country to accept Islam. (The name translates to "land of the unbelievers".)

You should be writing a news blog, Miggy! I've been trading thoughts about what's going on in the Middle East; sort of ignoring the domestic front.

Your comment on ICE activity is a very likley scenario. Our intel capabilities are scary (from a civil liberty perspective) good, especially SIGINT. Find the troublemakers, remove and repatriate them before engaging in hostilities. That still leaves a very scary remnant of lone wolves, but we can assume any coordinated efforts were already neutered.
