Maduro is out.
Let’s not get too giddy about Venezuela: The infrastructure that Chavez created and supported Maduro is still up and running. I believe they traded Maduro for their safety.
Will it be scaled down? Hopefully so. Will Venezuelans be grateful? For about a month and then they will start bitching about something or other.
The best thing is that no U.S. lives were lost in the attack.
The image above is accurate from what I have seen video from X which has been beaten all regular news outlets by several miles. I saw a video allegedly from Higuerote, but I can’t say it is accurate yet. Interesting why the attack there since that airport is about 130 kilometers from Caracas.
Chinooks and Blackhawks. Explosions reported coming from Fuerte Tiuna which is a huge military fort in southern Caracas.
Another angle of the attack on Fuerte Tiuna.
And another angle. “What do we do Dad? What do we do?”
Not sure where in Caracas this happened, but the language is 100% Caraqueño.
La Carlota airport on the east side of Caracas. I am going to guess sells of Russian SAMs will suffer a drop after this event.
People celebrating. You can hear some screaming “Libertad!” (Freedom)
I’ll be keeping an eyer on more videos and information.
PS: Anybody wondering, I was raised and lived half my life down there.

You, Miguel, have insights that I cannot have. For myself, I am presently unconvinced that (a) this is a good idea for the US, and (b) that there is a compelling US interest is removing Maduro.
Color me reluctant.
Having said that, I await further facts.
Now that you have started me thinking about it, I wonder if the activity you report is addressed to President Scheinbaum (sp?) of Mexico, but delivered to Mr. Maduro?
