Less Lethal does not mean without consequences.
Broken bones, burning eyes: How Trump's DHS deploys 'less lethal' weapons on protesters
Somehow, somewhere back in the minds of academic and idiots, (but I repeat myself) the narrative about Less Lethal weapons became one of gentle prodding and soothing effects that would magically reduce the misbehavior of law-breaking people. Less Lethal simply means the probability of death is greatly decreased, but pain is going to be still a deciding factor on how your bad behavior will be modified. When verbal warnings and command do not work, law enforcement will escalate, usually first with Empty-Hand techniques; the problem is that the deranged idiots chasing after ICE take being pushed away as a violation of their Rights (“YOU CAN’T TOUCH ME!”) and feel the need to escalate their misbehavior and do so in mobbing groups.
After that, yes, the application of irritants, pain inducing munitions and flash-bang grenades come to play.
What the photo above does not make clear (probably on purpose) is who approached who. And from what we have seen time and again, is the “Heroes of the Revolution” the ones injecting themselves and interfering with ICE and not ICE coming after them unless is to perform and arrest for some stupid stuff one of them pulled off.
What I believe is needed is the Federal version of Florida’s HALO law which creates a 25 feet buffer zone between Law Enforcement engaging in their business and Looky Loos and Influencer-wannabes who cannot wait to activate their phone cameras. You would also ne interested in knowing that the majority of OC sprays & streams canister have a reach of 12 feet meaning if you keep your sorry butt at 25 feet, you still can scream and holler and stomp your feet and yet you will be out of the reach from the spicy Eau de Gendarme.

Less Lethal. NOT necessarily NON-lethal. You're gonna be bruised and maybe broken, but you're probably gonna be alive.
That's what happens when you don't spank your kids.
