Station Nightclub, Warwick, RI. 100 dead.

You would think we learned fro it.

Holy stool! I've never even been a firefighter, and *I* have heard of the Station Nightclub fire! Surprising that the Swiss could not/did not profit from that event.

Did I read that correctly? Single entry/exit? So it was (literally) a death trap.

Office dropped-ceiling panels tend to be fiberglass -- you can hold a blowtorch to them and not cause any trouble. You'd think the Swiss would have some basic understanding of construction safety.

The town where this happened is a high end resort town, full of modern construction. (My wife and I had a ski vacation there with my family, in the early 1980s.) So it's not like we're dealing here with century-old historic buildings or anything like that.
