All that is necessary to lose momentum is to sit on your rear end and do nothing.

The left will continue to poke the wolverine, because The Law of Unintended Consequences has not kicked in -- yet. When it does, I think it will be gruesome and leave no doubt the leftists went too far. They will blame it on MAGA, because they are oblivious.

"Son, let me explain something to you. You don't poke a wolverine with a sharp stick unless you want your balls ripped off." -- Grandpa Vanderboegh's Rule of Life #32.

"Stop being polite"? Politeness and civility are just exercises that come from a practiced discipline. Such self-discipline carries over into many other areas. Cleaning up your range brass, rendering first aid to a vanquished foe, "Please, you go first" when exiting a helicopter. Just sayin'.

"When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time." -- Maya Angelou

"First, if an enemy of our people says he seeks to destroy us, believe him. Don't doubt him for a moment". -- Menachem Begin (Holocaust survivor)

The backlash the Left is experiencing right now, is not because they suddenly became despicable people. It's because up until now, their true nature has been hidden behind a mask of plausible deniability; their employers and acquaintances could hand-wave away the occasional "colorful" post or comment as something that slipped out in a moment of heightened emotion.

We who were paying attention always knew who and how they were -- because they told us and we believed them the first time -- but nobody else was willing to believe it.

However, now the world is seeing, to an extent they can no longer ignore or excuse, these people's actual selves and true natures. It's no longer reasonably explainable as "a moment of heightened emotion," this is just who and how they are all the time. They didn't suddenly become terrible people -- they always were -- the mask slipped off and now they can no longer hide it.
