“raising awareness “ is a liberal touchy-feely buzzword that makes liberals feel good without actually having to DO something…

“hope” is also the same . you can sit around and “hope”, or you can get the fack up and DO something about it..

So the San Francisco "leaders" who pushed this crap moonlight as Iranian negotiators.

Perhaps the target audience doesn’t pay attention to useless political grandstanding.

And their primary tools to stop the violence, are to disarm the victims and leave the violent criminals loose in society. Curiously, that seems to be working about as well as the "ceasefire".

As I've written for years:

"Gun control" is like this: Feral dogs are roaming the area in packs, mauling neighborhood cats. The "solution" is to de-claw the cats for their own safety!

Day Without Violence can absolutely work, if you ruthlessly execute all the shitbirds without mercy for a year or three first.

This is like the grown-up version of people yelling 'Swiper no swiping" repeatedly at a TV screen and expecting criminals to listen.

Where the San Fran leaders went wrong is that they only yelled it twice. Everyone knows you have to yell it THREE times to make it stop.

These are the same "leaders" who think criminals will respect a Gun Free Zone sign.

Just post some pretty signs declaring the whole city a Crime-Free Zone. Problem solved!

Surprising nobody, their "24-hour violence ceasefire" didn't work. It's basically an admission that the police aren't going to be responding for a while.

Clearly what they need is a 48-hour ceasefire instead! Defund the police for a full weekend!

Do it again, only HARDER!

It would take a heart of stone not to snicker nastily at this.
