Not to mention that if you charge from the US grid, your electric car is in fact running 20% on coal. It's just being burned somewhere else.

Careful, you're going to get the EV faithful in here telling you how much money they're saving.

EV is fine for short trips into town w/ no added weight. Need to go long distance and/or haul something? You're nothing but a boon to the stores/restaurants at the numerous charging stations you're going to have to stop at along the way.

And as far as the 'tax credit', we all watched those same companies/ ealerships jack up their prices right after the 'credits' were announced. W/ them gone, the prices aren't going to come down until the dealerships try and dump their overstock.
