If we take the official numbers of the Mexican Government, we have 11,666 murders a year by the hands of the cartels. If we use a “loosened” interpretation* of the FBI’s mass murder definition, we get 2,196 incidents a year or 8 mass murders a day. If we use Amnesty International calculations, that number of daily mass murders jumps to 15 a day.
And the killing methods will go from the prosaic shootings to the use of explosives, fire, impact weapons and strangulations.
