My question would be what kind of Liberal idiot rejects the presence of police near a school. I know that it is the politically fashionable thing nowadays to simply harass cops anywhere, but she is the same fuckin nutjob that will go absolutely bunkers if a mass murderer decides to collect pre-teen scalps at the local elementary school and then demand an explanation why there were no police officers present when Dick, Jane, Jamal and Josefina were being murdered.
Of course, there is always the Uvalde Response which should be the perfect solution for her, sort of Schrödinger’s Law Enforcement presence: yet still not being there and doing a thing.

At the First Sergeant's Academy back in the 70s we were told it's a waste of time to use logic when dealing with a drunk. I think the same reason that it is true also applies here.
