I have plans to go to ConFinement this weekend, but I was not expecting to get an advanced copy of the effing crud. Last time I had a fever was in the last century and my nose is dripping like a cheap movie faucet.
And whomever is forging sword and other paraphernalia in my head, please stop that banging crap. Thank you.

it's been decades since I last attended a Con, but I clearly remember the crud.
the piper must be paid. sometimes preemptively even.
Something nasty is going around this year; I had it back in January.
Alternating Tylenol and Advil every four hours (so max daily dose of both), plus 12-hour Mucinex, plus 12-hour sudafed (the real stuff) seemed to help keep the symptoms in check. Still took a week plus for it to finally all clear up.
