It is funny that we never experienced this back in Miami, but I do love the custom of having some piece of no longer wanted furniture or any other item, place on the curb and attach a FREE sign to it.
also, many municipalities impose fees at the dump…. oh, sorry, TRANFER station if you bring in any items but bagged trash. our town requires stickers on each bag costing between 1-3 bucks… I have dumpster so i don’t have to deal with the dump nazi..
I actually find putting price on it moves it faster. Folks will hesitate to grab a free item, but if it has a $50 on it, they will gladly take it away for free.
