Wray testified during the hearing that the FBI did not know whether the would-be assassin took the gun with him when he climbed up the roof or whether the AR-15 rifle had been stashed there but said the gun’s collapsible stock may have made the rifle harder to see.
You have to give it to them: whenever they can shift the blame to a reviled person or object, they waste no time, especially if it is in the pursue of a CYI.

Ok, I just properly put my tinfoil hat on, looks good too by the way. I believe that Jill Biden (Joe probably nodded in approval but he didn't think it up) conspired with the FBI to put into action, whatever it takes, to take out Trump before the election and if possible before the democrat convention. And the FBI designed this assignment to be so convoluted at every level that everyone knows something illegal happened but when under investigation it is revealed that several possible scenarios are the likely but it's impossible to pinpoint the exact cause or determine the culprit.

Jill Biden pulled the best SS agents from the Trump detail and put them on her detail which she claimed she needed to secure her at an indoor function in the same area as Trump's outdoor event. Trump had half his normal SS detail. of which half were not even SS agents but from Homeland Security, which is why they didn't attend the pre-event security briefings and meetings nor were wired to the security network to coordinate with local and state security teams.

I believe one or more of the active security teams that day knew the rifle was already on scene, having been put there before the event---the location is supposed to be kept secure in the days leading up to the scheduled event and is supposed to be swept prior to the event, which I believe was done but for the purpose of ensuring that the assassin's weapon was secure and ready and another security team didn't find it.

Bottom line, Jill Biden and the Obama Administration attempted to take Trump out and per chance if that failed, plan B was Joe stepping down due to physical deterioration. Then test the political winds with Harris and make a judgement call during the democrat convention as to who the best nominee would be, which has already been prepared.

If my theory is correct, that the Leftist already have a full proof system to circumvent the electoral college system, it won't matter in the end, but the leftist has to make it convoluted so their opposition loses all hope for the America they've fought and died for, and clings to their Bibles and guns. Which provides the legal standing to use greater force to bring their opposition into compliance.
