EDC footwear.
Divemedic’s post Shooting – Area Ocho about an incident in Florida brings out an old point I like to make: There is no such thing as EDC/Tactical flip flops.
Mind you, I love flip flops and is still one of my Florida attributes I use in Tennessee weather permitting. At every entry point in the house, there is a pair of worn out of these things for when I need to step outside for a few minutes.
But I will not go out of the perimeter and especially packing unless I have secured footwear that won’t come off if things go south. Many bring Bruce Willis in Die Hard as reason not to be barefooted or poorly shod, in my case was seeing photos of the aftermath human stampedes/retreats from danger and noticing the floor littered with “comfortable” footwear and barefoot corpses. How much the one led to the other? My guess probably plenty and I am sure as hell not wanting to find out.
And we will not even go into details about why is not socially appropriate to wear black socks with flipflops. The only color allowed is white and only if you are Cuban or very elderly and in that case they must be knee-high and compression. No socks is the only appropriate way to roll on those.

After living on my boat in and around Tampa Bay for nearly a decade I settled on the sport sandals for every day. But then I avoided anything that could be described as "large crowd" like they were all plague carriers
it’s especially cringy when I see griwn ass men out in public in their pajamas… I just wanta run up behind them and shawing! them pajamas down to their ankles….
