I had a chance to handle the what the internet says is the “worst pistol evah!”
Rohm RG10s
It came in is original box and it still has the price paid for it when bought in 1968.
$17.99 adjusted for inflation is about $88 which is about what you will pay for a copy at assorted gun selling websites today. So, it has not lot’s its value.
The cylinder does not swing out and it has a loading gate to get cartridges in and spent cases out one at the time with the use of the including rod that is screwed under the barrel. So, no fast loading and unloading with this sucker but use as club once you have spent all the rounds if you haven’t finished the issue at hand.
I ended up shooting 2 rounds of CCI subsonic and 2 rounds of Colibri subsonic just aiming at the dirt to test for function and it worked fine-”ish.” It is not Smith and Wesson or Colt of the era quality gun, but I was expecting some truly awful-feeling chunk of crappy metal made in some favela in Brazil by basuco-addicted workers, but it was not anything like that. I have shot a Raven .25 and that was truly a disgusting object posing as a firearm while the Rohm is at best, two steps below Hi Point but a lot less ugly.
If I were to keep it, it would be purely for saying, “I have one, wanna see it?” but it would not be included in any defensive planning. A curiosity and nothing else.
I have a revolver so obscure I've only found it mentioned in one place: an Orbea "Tanke" (.38 special). It seems to work fine, though not as nicely as a S&W. I can certainly hit a target with it, give or take my own very limited skills.
so its $88 bucks today and according to the interweb worse than a Highpoint… heh heh heh.. in the old days we called these a “throw down” pistol… speaking of Brazil, my buddy has a Llama .45, ugly, crudely built BUT goes bang every single time..
