One of the things I have done after leaving any company I had either email or some sort of log-in access was to send one last email to IT, HR, supervisors and the head of my department announcing I no longer work for the company and to please block or delete my username and any accounts I had so it could not be used by malicious third parties. Also, I sent the email to one of my personal accounts as to have a reference of when I announced I was leaving and my request. Luckily and as far as I know, nobody has done evil stuff with my old accounts and access, but that does not mean you should trust that this will always be the case. And at least that

And apologies for the lack of posting, I have been attacked by old age in multiple fronts and that makes it hard to even sleep, much less to think coherently.

It's just Google trying to be "helpful..."
Let's not talk about how easy it can be for Apple systems to comingle work and personal info on an ongoing basis ... even in places that you'd expect would have strong IT policies, and after multiple attempts to deconvolve.
