Ballistic Dysentery
There is a reason why smart shooters do NOT carry competition gear for EDC.
From what I could see in the video rocking it back and forth, the magazine extension broke apart. I can see two pieces flying out and at least one round, but I can’t seem to find the magazine spring flying away. I really cannot make sense of the rest of the clusterflock: If the mag spring remained inside, but the rounds fell, that means the follower also was evicted, but one round presented a failure to feed although did not look like it was not stuck in the ramp.
I am still a great supporter of competition shooting as a way to become a better shooter. And I do recommend you compete with your carry gear to see what failures can happen and have them corrected so they do not happen in real life. It took the shooter 10 seconds to get back in action and that is a couple of lifetimes when things go bad.

I like Tom Givens approach. Buy a 2nd gun identical to your EDC and compete with it. Keeps the round count down on the EDC (shoot it some). If you're competing in a "practical" sport why use a race gun? Train like you fight.
some of the aftermarket “plastic fantastic” mags are prone to coming apart. I had a 30 round korean one do that sitting on a shelf.. SPRANG!!
whoever is in the video hasn’t trained on failure drills.
