One of the greatest.

In no small part, I think, because the story arc for the whole thing was mapped out from the start. And it was a good story. Not every episode had to directly relate to and advance it, but there was a long-range connectedness and coherence that just doesn't exist if you try to make it up as you go along.

That show always reminds me of how advanced the Amiga was over just about any platform in existence at the time.

A Video Toaster in an Amiga 2000 was the foundation for a lot of the graphics we take for granted today.

Of course, Commodore had to thoroughly shoot themselves in the foot back then, and a good example is right outta Hollywood.

The 'whales' Star Trek movie was being shot, and they were looking for a graphics station for the famous scene where Scotty picks up the mouse and says 'computer.'

Well, someone had seen an Amiga, and that is really what they wanted for the shot.

Commodore offered to SELL them a machine.

That pissed them off, so they contacted Apple, and Apple said 'how many truck loads do you want, and where would you like them delivered,' so instead of full color high res animation, they got a cruddy Macintosh..
